Description
For the first time, we want to try out a new format in Constance - a panel discussion with music.
a panel discussion with music - and have invited prominent guests to join us: Berlin historian Ilko-Sascha Kowalczuk, whose latest book ‘Der Freiheitsschock’ has been on the SPIEGEL bestseller list for months, and Viennese music journalist Axel Brüggemann, who will shed light on the political background to more than just the current music scene.
Together with Gabriel Venzago, the panel will discuss the abuse of classical music by politics over the centuries. To this end, the Bodensee Philharmonie will perform excerpts from the concert ‘Funkenflug’ with works by Beethoven and Liszt, which exemplify the political misinterpretation of the compositions. Tickets available from the orchestra and advance booking offices.
The event is free of charge.
